| Inside the Trilogy |
| The Circumstances Mother: You met your husband (Nathan) at the graduation exercises of Yeshiva University. You both fell in love and eventually married. Your husband's father (Harry) and his wife (Ruth) fell in love with and treated you like a daughter. A year later, you brought your son into the world and nearly lost your life doing so. There were complications. He is the only child you will ever have-- an only son. You are joyful as you have given your husband an heir to the pulpit of his Synagogue. Father: Your father was a Rabbi who founded a small Synagogue in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and you respected his dream of your becoming the next in line...and you obediently follow in his footsteps. Now you have a son, and your dream becomes your father's dream. You raise him up, you educate him in the traditions and ways of Judaism and you look to the day when he will stand on the pulpit beside you. However there is a problem. He has other plans. The Son: Somewhere within the very core of your soul you sense that the pulpit of your father's Synagogue is not your destiny. There is a restlessness within you that cries out to be fulfilled. You didn't know that in your final months of High School, just before graduation, your father had obtained admission to Yeshiva, expecting you to follow in his footsteps. You haven't told them that you met a girl in high school whom you adore, but your relationship had to be kept within the boundaries of a platonic friendship...she wasn't Jewish. Then, one tragedy after another besets your life and you embark on a quest to seek-out your own future, enrolling at a northeastern university. You announce this the very night your father presents you with the acceptance letter to Yeshiva. Your parents also find out that the name of the girl whom you are taking to the prom is Diane Kelly, a born- again Christian. From that moment on, the life of David Blumberg will change forever...not only his own life, but it will also influence the lives of all who will cross his road of destiny. The Question: How does a small town boy go from this... To This? To this... ? Finding himself in the middle of one of the largest terrorist plots in the history of Israel. A plot so huge, that if carried out it could shift the balance of power in the entire Middle East. |
